MARCEL DAANE @ UNLEASHED 2012

Marcel’s passion lies in the realm of maximizing cognitive and physical performance by using an integrated combination of Neuroscience, Exercise Physiology and Nutrition. His Post Graduate work in Neuroscience coupled with undergraduate degrees in Complementary Medicine and Applied Nutrition and professional qualifications as an ACE “Gold Standard” Advanced Fitness Specialist and NSCA Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist, in combination with over 15 years experience in cognitive performance coaching, rehabilitation, and strength conditioning, have enabled Marcel to developed a unique, integrated model, of coaching that is highly sought after in the sports, fitness and corporate arenas.
Marcel is the Managing Director of The Body Brain Performance Institute (Singapore), which specializes in Executive Performance Coaching for organizations such as SAP-Asia Pacific, Accenture, Google, and HERMES. In addition to this, he is also the director of Singapore’s largest sports performance centre, SPEED Institute as well as Marcel-Fit Education and Training through which he authors and runs body-brain, movement based, fitness education courses for fitness professionals.

1)   Obesity: The brain hypothesis

Marcel examines the role of the frontal lobes, reward system and appetite centers in the etiology of obesity and the environmental factors that contribute to the process. Participants will learn strategies to repair the dysfunction by tackling the source of the problem.

2)      MET – Connecting Body and Brain through Exercise

This practical session shows participants how to engage the brain while exercising and shows practical progressions how to safely increase complexity of movement to keep both body and brain synchronized during training.

FABIANA SANTUCCI @ UNLEASHED 2012




Fabiana has had the passion for fitness since the age of 9 and has been in the fitness industry  for more than 15 years.  This native Brazilian who hailed from Sao Paolo comes equipped with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education & Sports by the University of FEFISO ( Faculdade de Educação Física de Sorocaba) in Brazil and has participated in the Aerobic Competition in 1997 and Miss Fitness Competition in Brazil in 2000. 

The multi-talented instructor teaches  Power Jump, ABT, Power Stretch, Core Ex, Circuit Training, Sculpt, Latin Fiesta, MTV Style, Freestyle Step, Hip Hop, Jazz, ABS Workout, as well as TRX Group Suspension Training. The former  Master trainer for Body Systems, is currently a BODYCOMBAT Presenter for Les Mills Asia Pacific and teaches a  wide series of the Les Mills programs.


Fabi, as she is often known, lives by one philosophy  :- Fitness is not a quick fix, it is a lifestyle.

INDRA BALARATNAM @ UNLEASHED 2012



Indra Balaratnam is a US educated Consultant Dietitian with 15 years of experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics. 

Presently, she runs her own private practice in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where she conducts one-on-one and group dietary counseling sessions for clients with as diabetes, coronary heart disease, weight issues, pregnancy, childhood nutrition and active individuals. 

Indra’s nutrition and dietetics works extensively with the media to promote healthy eating as she is passionate that people should have access to credible, practical information. Her articles have appeared in regional publications such as Health Today, Men’s Health (Malaysia), The Finder, Malaysian & Singapore Women’s Weekly, Health & Beauty and several online health portals.   

She is the co-author of the nutrition cookbook “Healthy Eating – Recipes for the Asian Palate” (Times Edition – Marshall Cavendish) launched in September 2004.

Ange Ong, founder and owner of ANGE dansfit has more than 10 years of experience as a fitness instructor, dancer, performer and choreographer.  With an array of dance certifications in Jazz, Ballet, Street Jazz, Hip-Hop and Salsa, she is also a master choreographer and is no stranger in the fitness scene in Singapore.
Certified by the Federation of International Sports, Aerobics and Fitness (FISAF) and the Singapore Sports Council (SSC), Ange also holds a certification in advanced Pilates by STOTT.
